FlipDeals takes a minimalist approach to data: we collect what's needed to deliver our services, and nothing else. This policy covers two distinct services we operate: (1) the FlipDeals deal-alert subscription delivered via Discord, and (2) the FlipDeals AI Concierge — an SMS-based AI customer-service tool we operate on behalf of participating local businesses.
What we collect
From Whop (our payment processor): your email address, subscription status, and Discord user ID. We do not see or store your payment details — Whop handles all card processing.
From Discord: your Discord user ID and the role assignment that gates VIP channel access. We do not read your DMs or messages in other servers.
From this website: standard server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp) via our hosting provider, Cloudflare. We do not run any analytics or tracking pixels.
What we do with it
Grant or revoke access to the VIP Discord channel based on subscription status
Send transactional emails about your subscription (receipts, renewal reminders, cancellation confirmation) — sent by Whop, not us
Diagnose technical problems using server logs
What we do NOT do
Sell your data to anyone, ever
Send marketing emails (we don't have an email list)
Use cookies for tracking or advertising
Share your data with third parties beyond Whop and Discord (which you've already chosen to use)
FlipDeals also operates an SMS-based AI customer-service concierge for participating local businesses. When you text one of our customer-business numbers (typically a local number published by the business itself on its website, signage, or Google Business Profile), the following applies specifically to that conversation.
What we collect: your mobile phone number, the text content of messages you send, any photos you attach via MMS, message timestamps, and the identifier of the business you texted.
How we use it: to power the AI's reply, to maintain a short-term conversation thread so the AI remembers what you just asked, and — when your message clearly requests human follow-up (catering quotes, repair appointments, party-room bookings, complaints, custom estimates) — to email a transcript to the business owner so they can follow up with you directly.
Subprocessors: Twilio (delivers SMS/MMS), Anthropic (powers the AI replies via the Claude API), Resend (delivers lead-routing emails to the business owner), Cloudflare (hosts the service). These vendors process your data only to provide the service, never for their own marketing.
Retention: conversation context is stored for 24 hours, then automatically discarded. If your message triggers a lead handoff to the business owner, a transcript is included in the email we send them and a diagnostic copy is logged for our internal use only — never resold or used for marketing.
What we do NOT do: we do not sell your number, we do not add you to any marketing list, we do not send unsolicited or scheduled promotional messages, we do not share your conversations with third parties beyond the subprocessors listed above, and we do not use your messages to train AI models outside of the immediate conversation itself.
Opt-out: reply STOP (or CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, END, QUIT) to any message at any time. You will be immediately removed and will receive no further messages from that number. Reply HELP for assistance. Reply START to opt back in.
Frequency: message volume varies based on your conversation; we do not send scheduled marketing or promotional messages. Standard message and data rates from your wireless carrier may apply.
Your rights
Cancel your subscription via Whop at any time. To request deletion of any remaining account data, email [email protected] and we will process within 14 days.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy; the "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change.
